This is not what your school has seen before — and the difference is everything

Traditional Dental Camp

One-day activity. Check children's teeth. Send a letter home. Done for the year. No follow-up. No outcomes tracked. No change in student health.

School Oral Wellness Program™

Year-round partnership. Tracked outcomes every term. Individual child reports sent to parents. Measurable student confidence data for school leadership. Annual co-branded Wellness Report for your board.

"A child who is in pain cannot concentrate. A child who is embarrassed about their teeth cannot speak confidently. A child who has learned to be afraid of healthcare will avoid it for decades. These are not dental problems. They are learning problems."

The School Oral Wellness & Child Confidence Program™ is the first structured school partnership in India to place oral health within the broader student wellness framework — alongside nutrition, mental health, and physical fitness. It delivers measurable wellness outcomes, not just dental reports.

The good news
Most childhood dental disease is preventable. Fluoride application, brushing education, and regular screenings delivered systematically in schools can dramatically reduce the burden of dental disease before it begins.

What untreated dental disease looks like in the classroom

Pain → Inattention

A child with a toothache cannot sit still or focus during a lesson. Teachers describe this as "disruptive" or "inattentive" — without knowing the cause.

Embarrassment → Withdrawal

A child embarrassed about visible decay avoids speaking in class, participating in group work, and smiling in photos. This is not shyness. It is preventable.

Airway Issues → Chronic Fatigue

Children with mouth breathing and undiagnosed airway issues have disrupted sleep, reduced oxygen during the school day, and chronic fatigue — affecting every academic metric.

Most of this is preventable. And all of it is measurable — with the right programme in place.

Board-ready positioning

When your management committee asks why the school has invested in this programme, the answer is not "we had a dental camp."

"We track every student's oral health as a development metric — and we can show you the year-on-year improvement data."

"Dental pain was contributing to X% of our absenteeism. It is now Y%. Here is the report."

"We are the only school in Bengaluru with a named specialist as our oral wellness partner."

This is how forward-thinking schools differentiate — with evidence, not just intention. Every metric, every child, every year. In a report your board can present with confidence.

Your Questions, Answered

No — and this distinction is important. A dental camp is a one-day event with no follow-up, no tracking, and no lasting impact on student health outcomes. The School Oral Wellness Programme is a year-round partnership with four quarterly phases, individual child tracking via the Oral Wellness Passport™, parent reports each term, and a co-branded Annual Wellness Report. The measurable outcome difference is significant.
Our programme is designed for students from Nursery (age 3+) through Class 12 (age 17–18). Content, classroom sessions, and clinical protocols are specifically adapted for each age group. We do not use a one-size-fits-all approach — a session for Grade 1 looks completely different from one for Grade 9.
A standard awareness talk is 30–45 minutes per class. A full oral screening session is planned based on school size — typically 4–6 hours for a 200–400 student batch, spread across one or two days. We work around your school timetable and avoid disruption to exam periods or major school events.
Yes. Every child who participates in a screening receives an individual Oral Wellness Passport™ — summarising their oral health status, CCF™ confidence baseline, any concerns found, risk level, and recommended next steps. This is written in plain parent language, not clinical terminology. Reports are sent home digitally and in print.
We currently partner with CBSE, ICSE, IB, IGCSE, and state board schools across Bengaluru. The programme content and reporting are adapted for each curriculum context. For IB schools, wellness outcomes can be framed within the IB's Approaches to Learning (ATL) and wellbeing framework.
The core awareness and basic screening components are available at minimal cost. Premium modules — fluoride application, sealants, extended multi-day camps, and full quarterly programmes — have transparent pricing across our three tiers (Silver, Gold, Platinum). We provide a written proposal with full pricing before any commitment is made.
The CCF™ (Child Confidence Framework™) protocol is applied during all school screenings. The screening itself is designed to be completely non-threatening — no instruments enter the mouth without the child's consent. For children identified as highly anxious, we recommend the clinic familiarisation module, which brings these children to Dr. Mittal's clinic for a no-treatment introduction to dental care in a completely safe environment.
Parent consent is required for all clinical elements of the programme. We provide the consent documentation, and the school distributes it through its existing parent communication channels. Non-consenting students are still able to participate in all educational and awareness sessions — only the clinical screening and preventive treatment require consent.
Yes — though starting at the beginning of the academic year (June) gives the maximum benefit from the 4-quarter structure. Schools that join mid-year are onboarded with a compressed initial phase, and the full quarterly programme begins in the next academic year. There is no disadvantage to starting early.
